Apologies, but it’s another short post from me this week as I’m wading through the second round of edits for The Truth Will Out. Sooner or later we will finish and life will resume some kind of normality, I’m sure.
Firstly, I must congratulate all my friends that participated in November’s National Novel Writing Month or NaNoWriMo 2013. Personally, I’m hopeless with daily word counts which is why I’ve never plunged into NaNo, but there were some amazing achievements this year. The best I’ve heard so far is a 57,500 novel on Twitter – quite a mean feat for one month so very well done! Do get in touch if you managed to better this.
Since we are now into December I’m going to spread a little Christmas cheer and share our Christmas tree, designed this year by my ‘nearly’ thirteen-year-old. Gone are the days when we throw every decoration we can find on and hope for the best; this year she chose a colour scheme and I think she’s done a wonderful job.
Later this week, Linda Huber will be joining us to discuss the inspirations for the setting of her highly successful debut novel, The Paradise Trees, and there’s a few secrets in there too. I look forward to sharing it with you.
I’m crawling back to editing den right now. Have a great week everyone!
