Today is release day for The Lies Within, the third in the DI Will Jackman series!
I’m so happy to finally share this novel with you. It’s been the hardest book to write so far, with prison scenes and courtroom drama, as well as the usual psychological and detective narrative, but I’m thrilled to see that early reviewers are saying it’s my best yet! As far as I know, nobody has guessed the twist at the end. Will it be you? If so, do get in touch!
I’m so grateful to you, my readers, for your lovely support and wanted you all to have the opportunity to celebrate this launch with me, so we have a couple of different ways in which you can get involved if you would like to.
In conjunction with my publisher, Legend Press, we are running a four day Facebook launch (yes, four days – we are in it for the long haul here!) with competitions, Q&As and some embarrassing video clips from me talking about the book too! Click here if you’d like to drop in and join the fun at any time.
I also have a live event at the Oundle Festival at Literature, with some wonderful other Northamptonshire authors, on the evening of Friday 5th May. Click here for more information on that one.
Huge thanks to all the lovely authors who’ve read and given quotes, and the fabulous book bloggers and reviewers who have supported the book with early reviews and blog tour postings. Here’s a snippet of what they’ve been saying:
‘A well-crafted mystery… Crime writing at its best.’
David Evans, CWA Debut Dagger-shortlisted author of Torment
‘Jane Isaac just gets better with every book. Deeply unsettling and unputdownable.’
Rebecca Bradley, bestselling author of the DI Hannah Robbins series
‘An intelligent, convincing thriller with genuine characters and a pacy plot. Jane Isaac writes unmissable quality crime fiction.’
Michael Wood, author of For Reasons Unknown
‘Gripped from the very first page. A highly satisfying, but deeply unsettling tale of a family torn apart. Expertly told from both sides of the investigation… and just when you think it’s over, it’s really only the beginning. Mesmerising and disturbing, this is crime writing at its very best.’
June Taylor, author of Losing Juliet
‘Brilliantly and intricately plotted, Jane Isaac has produced a terrific page-turner’
Lizzie Sirett, Mystery People
‘A perfectly executed police investigation into a horrific act of violence and a moving depiction of buried secrets. My first read from Jane Isaac but definitely not my last.’
Sarah Ward, author of In Bitter Chill and A Deadly Thaw
